Fun after school🚌

Yesterday was unforgettable! Mimi and I did our first elementary school visit since she moved in with me for Aldie Elementary’s CASA after-school program. With 11 children, we were able to give each of them an active experience AND bring on Jim and MaryLee, our latest volunteers! Special thanks to Patrice for making the long drive with us and being a phenomenal second handler. Mimi weaved through cones and kicked the ball with children on a second lead line for the first time ever. After six of them, she was so tired that she rested her head in Patrice’s hand and was ready for a nap! I walked the cones, kicked a ball, and jumped with five children, then let Mimi go back to the van for hay and water while I finished the visit with our human. Thanks so much for having us—we had a blast! We’ll be making the rounds of Trunk or Treat at the WARF at 2:30 Saturday, and then we are taking a well-earned 10-day break before a BIG November. #minihorses #miniaturehorses #therapyhorse #therapyhorseintraining @summitdogva #afterschoolprogram #schoolvisit
