An afternoon at Rappahannock 🏫
Mini horses, maximum fun! RCES 4th-7th-grade students had a very special visit from Lola and Mimi, two delightful mini therapy horses. Students were thrilled to meet and pet these gentle guests before learning how therapy horses make a difference in schools, nursing homes, senior centers, and hospitals.
The charming mother-daughter duo wowed everyone with a few tricks, including shaking hands, playing a mini piano, kicking a ball, and even clearing a jump. Students were all smiles, laughing and cheering as they watched the miniature horses in action. The excitement will continue later this spring when the horses and their awesome handlers return to meet our PreK-3rd-grade students.
A huge thank you goes to Dr. Slaney for recommending and organizing this memorable visit, and to everyone at Lola & Mimi, Miniature Therapy Horses for bringing so much joy to the students.
