Our visit to Commonwealth Senior Living

Our planned visit Friday got delayed by two hurt knees (one human and one dog), but happily all are on the mend and yesterday we did Mimi’s second training visit ever to Commonwealth Senior Living at Manassas! I was perfect as always, visiting and sharing my tricks and loading and unloading from the van like the pro that I am. And Mimi followed my lead beautifully—not only did she also visit and share her tricks, she nuzzled the residents’ hands for attention! The humans can teach us a lot, but they can’t teach us to want to engage with people—that’s something that therapy horses have to be born with. I’m so proud that my daughter was! Catch us Saturday at Playdate Children’s Museum in Culpeper from 10:30-11:30 for their Sensory Extravaganza, or next Tuesday with FRESH - Fauquier Reaches for Excellence in School Health at Marshall Community Center from 10 to 11. Thank you Patrice and Aspen for doing the visit, and Hailey for these photos! #minihorses #miniaturehorses #therapyhorse #therapyhorseintraining #assistedliving Summit Dog, Inc.
